Lord of the Flies - Iron Maiden

Os Iron Maiden lançaram em 1995 o álbum The X Factor, do qual faz parte a música "Lord of the Flies", baseada no livro com o mesmo nome de William Golding. É um dos meus livros preferidos e já o li umas quantas vezes (ver review aqui). Quem não o leu, deve fazê-lo rapidamente.

O livro, sobre um grupo de miúdos que se vê numa ilha deserta após um desastre aéreo, conta como o que parece um cenário paradisíaco se transforma num inferno à medida que a sociedade se espelha naquele grupo de rapazes de forma bastante gráfica.

A letra da música reflecte isso muito bem, falando de extensos perigos e da falta de um código moral que provoca emoções díspares quando se luta pela sobrevivência. Não sou fã de Iron Maiden, mas até gosto desta música e da guitarrada. Aqui ficam elas, a letra e a música.
